Did you imagine a mining company having its operation paralyzed by problems in repairing an important equipment? In order to minimize this type of impact and thus contribute to reducing downtime and improving the operational efficiency of mining complexes, thyssenkrupp, through its Industrial Solutions business area, implemented the Service Center Carajás, a unit located in Parauapebas (PA) that offers a wide portfolio of structures recovery services, mechanical components and maintenance of mining equipment.

With a strategic location, close to the largest mining complexes in operation in the country, the Service Center Carajás is an initiative that aims to expand the thyssenkrupp’s services portfolio to the sector, ensuring the attendance to the specific needs of each customer with much more agility. In an area of ​​4,500 m2, the unit has four cranes and a paint booth for metal structures.

Like the other three service centers that thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions operates in South America, the Service Center Carajás is fully integrated with the concept of 360º operations, and can handle not only thyssenkrupp's product line, but also others suppliers, since it has a large team of professionals qualified to work in order to optimize costs and increase the availability of equipment.

In addition to the Service Center Carajás, thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions has a Service Center in Minas Gerais, which is considered the most advanced project dedicated to assembling, modernizing and renovating cement, mining and energy industry equipment. Located in Santa Luzia, this center was set up on a more than 20 thousand square meter area featuring a high-tech workshop housed in a 3 thousand square meter building. Plant inspections and complete maintenance service packages are also performed, including on-site repairs, stoppage management, changes, machine optimization and upgrades, as well as transportation logistics.
