In-Service Support (ISS) – tailored to your in-service needs

The innovative, flexible and multifaceted In-Service Support (ISS) program enables you to maintain the highest possible operational availability of your surface vessels and submarines in the most cost-effective fashion.

ISS is a modular solution that allows you to select comprehensive all-round packages or tailored individual solutions from a wide-ranging portfolio covering asset management, spare parts' supply and management, engineering, training and consulting, service center and field services, and revamps and relocation. The key preconditions for maximizing operational availability are appropriate planned maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) activities, which are normally part of the tailored ISS packages agreed with customers.

ViSTIS®: Training based on Simulation

Our most recent development in the virtual training field is ViSTIS® (Virtual Ship Training and Information System). Top-quality training of personnel entrusted with the operation and maintenance of complex systems forms the basis for the successful and efficient employment of human and material resources.

Up till now, no standardized training environment has been available to enable instruction and training of all tasks and situations arising on a modern naval vessel. An entire crew can only be trained together on board ship, which unfortunately turns an operational unit into a training facility. ViSTIS®, in contrast, allows team training to take place on board a virtual ship – with no need for the original hardware or ship.

In this virtual simulated environment not just routine tasks but also emergency and combat situations can be realistically exercised with no risk to crew or ship. Each trainee or operator views their virtual world, systems, equipment and other crew members in real time in a realistic 3D environment. The strength of ViSTIS® is in its power to integrate different simulations and thus achieve realistic interaction of equipment and systems on the virtual ship. This enables individual crew members as well as complex sequences and procedures to be schooled.
