thyssenkrupp sees education as an essential key to social progress and prosperity. Our aim is therefore to steadily improve the availability and quality of education. With our extensive projects we facilitate access to education, improve the general education infrastructure, and promote the opportunities for advancement of talented young people.

Centro Cultural de Campo Limpo Paulista

The Campo Limpo Paulista Cultural Center is the result of a partnership between thyssenkrupp and the Municipality of Campo Limpo Paulista (São Paulo State), and was founded in 1989 by the company's employees. The initial goal was to install a library for serving not only the thyssenkrupp employees, but also the community living in the region.

The Campo Limpo Cultural Center is the city’s most important social and cultural space and, in addition to the library with a collection of over 17,000 books, it offers courses, workshops, exhibitions, events, and recreational activities for children, youth and adults.

Fundação “O Pão dos Pobres”

Through its Elevator Technology business area, thyssenkrupp also invests in inclusion and professional training projects. The Electromechanical Course in elevators is offered in Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul State), in partnership with the Fundação O Pão dos Pobres, focused on training young people in situations of social vulnerability. The initiative's goal is to offer the opportunity to walk a different path, bringing out in the participants the desire to grow and plan a better future.
